Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a deep-seated passion for capturing the intricate tapestry of human experience, my journey in the photographic medium has been a quest to blend the vibrant worlds of commercial and editorial photography with the historical practices of fine art to reflect on the contemporary environment and examine the rich cultural narratives that shape our society.
My work is heavily influenced by my extensive engagement with pop culture and multimedia. Recreationally, I immerse myself in video games, movies, music, podcasts, and fitness: drawing inspiration from the aesthetic choices and narrative decisions within these mediums and disciplines. This continuous interaction fuels my creativity and informs my approach to both photography and writing.
Portraiture holds a special place in my heart. I am deeply fascinated by the dynamic relationship between the artist, the subject, and the audience. My goal is to capture the unique visual language of the human form, exploring the connections and subconscious decisions that bind us. I am particularly interested in how these relationships are influenced by the subject's environment and their connection to the artist, as well as the mannerisms, dress, and interactions that define them or give us foresight into their background as an individual, and how these have cumulated into the photograph before us.
